✅ The Role

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll have a pivotal role in our company's digital transformation. 

Your expertise will enable you to design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable infrastructure solutions. 

✅ Responsibilities and Duties

DevOps Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement best practices, standards, and policies for the DevOps team.

Application Development Support:

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring faster and more reliable application deployments.
• Automate and streamline software build, test, and deployment processes to improve overall development efficiency.

Cloud Migration:

• Take a key role on the planning, execution, and management of cloud migration projects, working closely with stakeholders to assess infrastructure needs and select appropriate cloud services.
• Optimize application architecture for cloud-native environments to enhance scalability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

Tooling Consolidation:

• Assume a leadership role in the consolidation and standardization of tools, aimed at streamlining processes and diminishing operational complexities.Implement and maintain DevOps tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and monitoring solutions.

Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Champion the use of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage infrastructure and configuration, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Implement and maintain automated testing, monitoring, and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications.

Security and Compliance:

• Collaborate with security teams to integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Documentation and Training:

• Create and maintain clear documentation for processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions for cross-functional teams to promote DevOps culture and practices.

✅ Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience leading teams
• Proven experience in a DevOps or related role
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Python or Bash.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Github Actions, Harness).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
