The Role
We are seeking a strategic and creative Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to serve as the "voice" of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will drive our communications strategy from concept through execution, playing a pivotal role in how we message, connect, and bring the employee experience to life. This role is equal parts strategist and hands-on operator. You will build a digital-first community, acting as the primary owner of our engagement platform, Workvivo. As a trusted partner to the C-Suite, you will shape our narrative, bring our Employee Value Proposition to life, and foster a culture of clarity, recognition and transparency.
Key responsibilities in the role
Digital Engagement & Community Management via Workvivo: You will own the Workvivo strategy, driving adoption through engaging multimedia content and empowering "culture champions" to build the community. Additionally, you will leverage analytics to optimise engagement and ensure an inclusive employee experience.
C-Level & Strategic Communications: Partnering with the C-suite, you will ghostwrite authentic executive messages that reinforce our vision, values and culture. You will also lead communication strategies for major organisational changes and transformations, ensuring employees remain informed, reassured, and aligned.
Events & All Hands Management: You will manage the end-to-end production of company-wide All Hands meetings, leadership updates, etc. This includes agenda setting, speaker coaching, slide design, and managing the Q&A process. Crucially, you will ensure a seamless and inclusive experience that effectively engages both remote and in-office employees.
Culture, Recognition & Awards: You will oversee the company’s recognition initiatives, managing award cycles and internal campaigns that celebrate employee success. You will highlight recognition moments, such as promotions and employee awards, ensuring these initiatives consistently reinforce our core values and connect individual contributions to the bigger picture.
The Ideal candidate will posses
Relevant experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications
Proven experience managing enterprise social networks or employee experience platforms (experience with Workvivo is highly desirable)
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex business concepts and adapt tone for different executives
Confidence and poise in advising C-Level executives; ability to push back constructively and offer strategic counsel
Experience organising large-scale virtual or hybrid town halls (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
The core competencies required for the role:
Storytelling: You know how to find the human angle in a business update.
Relationship building: You enjoy building relationships across all levels of the organization, from interns to the C-Suite.
Data & Creative-Minded: You love creating fun content, but you also care about the click-through rates and engagement data behind it.
High EQ: Reporting to the CPO, you understand the nuances of employee sentiment and approach sensitive topics with empathy and discretion.
Operational agility: You are resourceful and solution-oriented. You anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and leverage emerging tools (like AI) to scale impact
